Abstract
This study systematically analyzes the needs and preferences of pet adopters in
Macao through questionnaires, in-depth interviews and data analysis, in view of the
problems such as information asymmetry, complex adoption process and lack of
knowledge about pet health care.
Based on this, a pet adoption app has been designed, integrating pet information
display, intelligent matching recommendations, simplified adoption procedures, pet
health management, community interaction and sharing, as well as educational
resource integration. The app not only provides rich pet adoption information and
convenient adoption processes but also uses smart algorithms to recommend the
most suitable pets for users, enhancing the accuracy of adoption matches.
At the same time, the built-in pet health management module and community
interaction features effectively enhance users' awareness and participation in pet
health care. Experimental validation shows that this application significantly
improves pet adoption efficiency, enhances user satisfaction, and promotes pet
welfare. This study not only provides an innovative technical solution for pet
adoption in Macao but also offers valuable references for the design and
development of pet adoption applications in other regions.
