Abstract
In recent years, there has been a global increase in designers and artists using their work to raise awareness about the importance of nature conservation. Macao, a formerly small fishing village that has rapidly transformed into a bustling urban city driven by the gambling industry, has experienced significant urbanization and loss of native plants, including trees, due to road and real estate development. However, the local population in Macao tends to show indifference towards social and environmental issues. To address this indifference and raise public awareness of social ecology, this research proposes the use of an Interactivity Design application called ""Communicare."" The application aims to create a multisensory communication platform that fosters a deeper connection between individuals and nature. By engaging users in an interactive and immersive experience, it seeks to evoke emotional and psychological responses and instill a sense of responsibility towards ecological conservation. This research contributes to the academic understanding of the role of interaction design in addressing social issues, specifically in the context of Macao's ecological challenges. The findings highlight the potential effectiveness of the ""Communicare"" application in establishing a meaningful connection between individuals and the natural world.
