Abstract
Items disorganised and misplace could not be prevented in personal life. Smart home technology would help people to track their belongings indoor and outdoor environment via the Internet and wireless technology. Internet of Things allows people to collect different objects to daily lives and shorten the distance between people and technology. Quantitative research conducted to find out the items mostly lost and clarify the precise functions for the cabinet.
The cabinet contains the functions for people to monitor their belongings, including the item usage, setting daily routines and reduce home de-clutter. For maximising the market value, there is a series of smart accessories that would be designed for highly suitable with the cabinet. For the more adequate for general people, more researches and surveys need to conduct to develop a better product.
