Abstract
This paper introduces the proposal “Virtual Serenity” for a virtual reality meditation dome that offers a serene and peaceful escape through an immersive experience in abstract environments. In response to the prevailing stress issues and hectic schedules in Macao, this proposal focuses on addressing social problems by har-nessing the potential of virtual reality technology for meditation purposes. The paper will cover the fundamental concepts of chakras and their significance and relationship to the human body. The virtual reality’s construction and apparatus are thoroughly exam-ined, encompassing the hardware, software and user experience. Considering the specific context of the city of Macao, where stress and hectic lifestyles are prevalent, this proposal directly addresses the social problem by offering an alternative approach to medita-tion, contributing to providing a potential solution for individuals seeking moments of tranquillity amidst their fast-paced lives
