Since its subscription in 2015, China has been committed to implementing the Paris Agreement, and in the National 13th Five-Year Plan, the development of the Greater Bay Area (GBA) was emphasized. The GBA development plan already prioritizes ecology and pursuing green development. The main purpose of this research is to perceive the Companies' awareness level when dealing with green Building Projects and the application of risk management assessment tools. The research purpose is also to recognize how the companies handle the intrinsic green risks, without affecting their sustainability goals of the construction process and the building’s final performance. For this multi-case study analysis, primary and secondary data will be required. A total of 7 interviews were conducted, considering two groups of interviewees: Group I – Contractors and Group II – Consultants, to allow the analysis of different perceptions and concerns. The interviews considered four different themes about the main topic: (1) Company Background; (2) Awareness to Sustainable Building Projects; (3) Risks associated with Green Building Implementation; (4) Risk Management Implementation in the Company. In conclusion, according to the analyzed data, it is essential to notice that cultural differences and different ways to approach methods along the GBA may arise frequently, and there is a lack of awareness of risk management processes, specially connected to the green construction frameworks. The data also indicate that it is necessary to move towards regulations and policies to change corporate and people's mindset.
