With its compact size and unique characteristics, Macau presents an interesting case for the adoption and growth of EVs. The objective of this research is to analyze the factors influencing the future private transportation trend of EVs in Macau, assess the potential benefits and challenges associated with EV adoption, and provide insights for policymakers, businesses, and stakeholders in the transportation sector. The research methodology employed a qualitative approach data from interviews and existing literature were collected and analyzed to identify key trends, challenges, and opportunities related to EVs in Macau. The study considered factors such as government policies, charging infrastructure, consumer preferences, environmental considerations, and technological advancements. The findings reveal that the future trend of electric vehicles in Macau is promising. Government initiatives and incentives, including tax exemptions and subsidies, have stimulated EV adoption. The growing awareness of environmental concerns and the desire for sustainable transportation solutions among residents have also fueled interest in EVs. However, several challenges were identified. Limited parking spaces and land availability pose constraints on the implementation of charging stations, necessitating innovative solutions for effective infrastructure development. Battery technology advancements, cost considerations, and range anxiety remain important considerations for potential EV buyers. Furthermore, aligning the growth of renewable energy sources with the increasing electricity demand for EV charging presents a complex but vital aspect of the EV trend in Macau. The research concludes by highlighting the importance of proactive policies and collaborations among stakeholders to address the identified challenges and capitalize on the opportunities presented by the future trend of EVs in Macau. With the implementation of comprehensive charging infrastructure, continued support from the government, and ongoing technological advancements, Macau has the potential to become a model for sustainable urban mobility driven by electric vehicles.enelectric vehiclesEVsMacausustainable transportationgovernment policiescharging infrastructureenvironmental impactfuture trendELECTRIC VEHICLES: A STUDY OF CONSUMER PERSPECTIVE OF FUTURE TRANSPORTATION IN MACAUtext::thesis::master thesis
